Flip the hook case down to reveal the bobbin holder
<Pic>
Remove the bobbin case using the spring lock levers on each side of the bobbin case
<Pic>
Pull the white handwheel (on the righthand side of the machine) out to disengage the needle setting on the motor
<Pic>
Move the bobbin pin to the right to engage the thread refilling setting on the motor
<Pic>
Pull up both thread holders (silver bars on the righthand on the top of the machine)
<Pic>
Place your bobbin on the bobbin thread pin, this is on the top of the machine case in the bottom right-hand corner
<Pic>
Place your thread on one of the thread pins then extend some thread to the thread guide hook – ensuring this goes counter clockwise around it
<Pic>
On your empty bobbin, you will see a hole for putting thread though to keep it secured in, take some thread and put it though – leaving a small amount to hold on to
<Pic>
Hold the thread in one hand and use the foot pedal to put some thread around the bobbin. Once there is a small amount – enough to keep it secure in place – cut off the excess thread that you were holding
<Pic>
Use the foot peddle again to add more thread to the bobbin until it is fully wound with new thread
<Pic>
Make sure the thread is going in a clockwise direction on the bobbin and the thread to be added to the bobbin is coming from a counter clockwise position
<Pic>
Push the bobbin pin to the left to engage the sewing mode
<Pic>
Pull the white handwheel (on the righthand side of the machine) in to engage the needle setting on the motor
<Pic>
Take the refilled bobbin off the bobbin pin and get it ready to insert back into the machine
<Pic>
Once inside the bobbin case, make sure the thread is still going clockwise and put it though the notch gap in the bobbin case
<Pic>
Pull the thread up and round the bobbin following the circular guide
<Pic>
Pull the thread into the open hole and you should hear a click
<Pic>
Use the lever on the bobbin case and place the bobbin case back into the machine with the small spike at the top. It will click into place with no spinning of the bobbin case
<Pic>
Later you will close up the hook cover
