Operating the Strip Bender

Turn on using the power switch on the front of the machine

Remove all protective film from the material.

Lift the yellow material holder, on the back of the machine, using the black handle and insert your material

The strip bender will accommodate material up to max 10mm thick

Align your material against the guide bar to ensure the bend line is at a right-angle to the edge

Pull the yellow material holder down to hold the material in place.

The length of time needed for the material to be bendable will vary between different materials and sheet thickness.

Lift up the material holder periodically to check if the material is ready to bend – you will notice a visible difference in the appearance of the material as it becomes bendable.

Remove the material to the heatproof mat.

You can then bend your material to the required angle using a forming jig or by hand as desired

Take care when handling the material as it can still be hot.

NOTE: Larger or smaller bends are possible by adjusting the wires.

This must only be done when the machine is off and the wires are cool.

The wider apart the two wires, the wider the bend – please ask as technician to assist where needed. (??)

When done – turn the machine off.

Turn off the extraction

Allow the machine to cool fully.

Leave the area clean and tidy after use including putting any materials, tools and waste in the right place
